About the Owner

Petal & Posy Florals is owned & operated by India Bolger who has lived locally for the last 23 years. Having had a passion for floral design the next step was to seek some training to further develop the skills it takes to be a florist. Then the next big move was to open her own small business, and along came Petal & Posy Florals.

Now 2.5 years after opening and having welcomed her first baby, things have definitely changed behind the scenes but we are still the same old Petal & Posy Florals and still love being able to design beautiful arrangements every day!

Behind The Blooms- The Petal & Posy Florals Cut Flower Garden

I have what I like to call, a micro flower farm in my backyard. When I first opened Petal & Posy Florals, the one main question that i kept asking myself was how can I keep the cost of flowers down for both myself and customers? And that's when I decided to start growing my own flowers. Now fast forward a few years and all the grass in our backyard has been taken over by flower beds.

I have always had a love for growing flowers, I remember watching my mum in her cut flower garden every spring & summer and seeing how much love and care into them and I think that's where I got the love for it.

If you've ever grown flowers, you will know how addicting and rewarding it is. It's a lengthy process but gosh is it worth it. From sowing the seeds, watching them sprout, planting them out into the garden, nurturing them and watching them grown and then finally seeing them bloom!

I absolutely love having the space to grow seasonal flowers that make up some of our bouquets and arrangements, and whatever I don't grow I source from other local growers.
